The Mission

L.A.D.S Records (acronyms for L.A. Dirty South connection) was formed by producer, songwriter, and vocalist Kimberly Roberts who was thinking about using one's God given talents, as was written in Gods’ word. The vision was a label structured around original talent, true artistry, and strong gifted vocalist.

With the music industry vastly changing, L.A.D.S Records stands by its mission statement: To produce quality music by blending the retro sounds of artist from the past with the new technological breakthroughs and sounds of the present and the future.

Kimberly, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, was greatly influenced by Memphis’ musical heritage of countless artists and bands including the Stax sound, BB King's blues, and even the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. She started writing music as early as elementary school and was an avid performer throughout her childhood and into adulthood.

After collaborating in April 2007 to write and produce a song to enter into the American Idol songwriters contest and receiving such positive feedback about the song, the idea of embarking on a new journey to form a new record label surfaced.

L.A.D.S Records, LLC seeks to make a profound statement in the record industry by releasing music that touches the core of the soul. Timeless music that simply makes one feel good.
